Knights of St. Columba

Knights of St. Columba EmblemCouncil 440 Mill Hill

The Knights of St. Columnba are organisation of Catholic men supporting the mission of the church, assisting the clergy, and promoting the spiritual, intellectual and material welfare of its members and their families. They meet in parish centre on the second Monday of the month at 8.00 pm.

The Knights have been present in the Parish since 1953, and have endeavoured to give the parish clergy all the help and support which may be needed. Our motto is: "Charity, Unity, Fraternity" and we try through our fund-raising activities, to help charities both local, national and international.

KSC Group on the Church Steps

The Knights of St Columba are affiliated to the International Alliance of Catholic Knights (I.A.C.K), a world-wide union of brother organisations, so we have, in addition to our more local interests, a wider perspective, and we are ready to respond to natural disasters and their aftermath both at home and abroad.

We steward Christmas and Easter liturgies, providing free posters. There is a sponsored walk at Christmas and a 7km one in the summer.

Quiz and race nights raise money for charity and our 200 Club helps the parish. We help with the parish census and the International evening. We arrange Masses for our sick, disabled and deceased members. We speak out on concerns affecting the Church. As with all organisations, we need recruits to join us in our attempts to serve God by serving others, so if you are a Catholic man who would like more information about us with a view to joining our ranks, then please contact our co-ordinator via the presbytery.

More general information is available on the KSC's UK Web Site.
